About EduTunnel
A free, open platform built to help every Sri Lankan student practice smarter and walk into exams with confidence.
Every Sri Lankan student deserves access to quality exam preparation — regardless of where they live, what device they use, or what language they study in. EduTunnel is our answer to that.
What is EduTunnel?
EduTunnel is a free web platform where Sri Lankan students can practice O/L and A/L MCQ past papers online. Every question comes with the correct answer and a detailed written explanation — so you understand the concept, not just memorise the answer.
We built EduTunnelbecause quality exam preparation shouldn't depend on expensive tuition classes or printed books. A student with a basic Android phone and a mobile data connection should have the same preparation tools as anyone else.
Who is it for?
Any student sitting the Sri Lankan O/L or A/L examinations. We designed EduTunnel to work well on low-end Android phones and slow 3G/4G connections — the most common setup for students across the country, especially outside major cities.
No account is needed to start practising. You can browse any paper, answer questions, and read explanations completely for free. Creating an account (via Google Sign-In) is optional — it lets you save your quiz history and appear on the leaderboard.
Where do the papers come from?
All past papers are sourced from the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka. Questions are reproduced here strictly for educational, non-commercial purposes to help students prepare for their exams.
The explanations and study notes for each question are original content written by our team. If you spot an error in a question or explanation, please let us know — accuracy is our top priority.
What subjects are available?
We launched with O/L ICT (2020–2024, five papers) and A/L ICT (2024). More subjects are being added as we write and verify explanations for each question.
Coming next: O/L Mathematics, O/L Science, and additional A/L streams. Tell us which subject you need via the contact page and we'll prioritise it.
Language support
EduTunnel supports English, Sinhala (සිංහල), and Tamil (தமிழ்). The language switcher appears on each paper so you can choose whichever medium you study in. Not all papers are available in all three languages yet — translations are being added progressively.
Is it free?
Yes. EduTunnel is completely free with no paywalls or premium tiers. To keep servers running, we may introduce minimal, non-intrusive advertising in the future — but that decision will always put student experience first.
How can I help?
Share EduTunnel with your classmates and teachers. Beyond that, you can report errors in questions or answers, contribute Sinhala or Tamil translations, or send us feedback on what to improve. Use the Contact page or the built-in “Contribute” button on any question.
